Greenways Foundation Strategic Plan 2013 (PDF, 753 KB)
We are very happy to inform our trail supporters that we have started awarding grants, beginning in April 2012. The grant awards will be limited in quantity as we continue to work towards increasing the amount in future years. Initially capped at $500.00 per grant for 2012, we have increased the grant cap to $2,000.00 for 2013.
The Greenways Foundation is a charitable trust working to promote the growth, enhancement and use of Indiana greenways and blueways. Our goal is to assist communities throughout the state of Indiana in realizing the economic, social and health benefits of trails. Many counties in Indiana have begun to build trails and have seen first-hand the benefits to having trails in their own backyard; however, there are still counties that have not yet begun. We hope to change that.
One way our organization can assist local trail groups, schools, service clubs, public/private entities and individuals is to help fund or support trail development or ideas that need help in getting started.
Complete the application on the right side of this page and send it to us today. The Greenways Foundation will award grants beginning in April 2013 and will take applications until November 2013 for this grant cycle.
Note: Grant applications will be reviewed by the Greenways Foundation Grant Review Committee, who may ask for additional information. The Grant Review Committee will submit the grant application with a recommendation for the GFI Board of Directors for approval/disapproval. Grants will be awarded by 1/31/2014.
